Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Comfortable across a polyglot codebase: Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems: APIs, event-driven patterns, asynchronous processing, and failure handling.
• Hands-on observability practices: structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Experience operating services on cloud infrastructure (Azure or equivalent) with containers/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Maintenance mindset: clean, well-documented code and reliable health management.
• Clear communicator who can explain complex systems to engineers and non-engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Stack Maintenance - Maintain and support services across the full platform.
• Reliability Engineering - Monitor platform health, investigate production issues, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Feature Implementation - Design and ship focused features and improvements.
• Observability - Extend logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for visibility.
• Performance and scale - Profile and tune components under load for reliability.
• Quality - Write tests and participate in code reviews.
• Incident response - On-call rotation; root-cause analysis and durable fixes.
• Collaboration - Work with delivery pods and Decision Intelligence teams.
