Job summary

Verantos is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the platform infrastructure, CI/CD, and developer experience. You will work with AWS-based systems, Terraform, and container orchestration to improve reliability and compliance within a fast-growing team.

The role is fully remote, US-based, and involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, QA, and clinical domain experts, with opportunities to apply AI tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps/platform engineering or SRE experience in compliant environments.
• Hands-on AWS, Terraform, and container orchestration with networking basics.
• Strong Python skills and willingness to touch the application stack.
• Proven track record building trusted CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in small teams balancing speed and simplicity.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining security.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and simplify CI/CD pipelines across a multi-project monorepo.
• Plan incremental infrastructure changes with rollout and rollback steps.
• Create and maintain runbooks, monitoring, and alerting.
• Align infrastructure standards with DevOps across teams.
• Contribute to application code in Python/Typescript when needed.
• Coordinate with QA to ensure proper testing of infra changes.
• Use AI tools to speed up infrastructure and developer experience.
