Job summary

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the NitroAI analytics infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, balancing performance, cost, and reliability with an eye on compliance from day one.

The role involves leading GitOps deployments, end-to-end CI/CD, incident response, and platform observability while shaping the platform’s evolution in a hands-on, autonomous capacity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on platform engineering experience with automation and distributed systems.
• 3+ years on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) for production workloads.
• Expert-level GitLab CI/CD with Bash scripting for deployment orchestration.
• Proficiency with Terraform as the IaC tool.
• Experience with security baselines and compliance-focused design.
• Familiarity with MWAA for Airflow and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the AWS and Kubernetes platform with focus on reliability, cost, and performance.
• Lead GitOps deployments, policy sync, and configuration management.
• Own CI/CD end-to-end, including pipelines and runner management across environments.
• Own incident response for the platform and document post-mortems.
• Establish platform observability with monitoring, alerts, and logging.
• Maintain security baselines and access controls.
