Virta Health is seeking a senior backend/data platform engineer to design and own our data contracts, processing semantics, and end-to-end observability across partner integrations. You will lead a data-centric squad focused on reliability, scalability, and AI-assisted tooling while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for healthcare data.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering skills and track record building reliable systems in production.
• Experience designing data-intensive architectures with correctness, lineage, and recovery.
• Demonstrated leadership and ownership across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the data contracts and processing semantics across the data lifecycle.
• Build end-to-end observability and reconciliation of source records to downstream outcomes.
• Lead technical discovery and delivery across data platforms and partner integrations.
• Partner with Product and Growth to translate audience requirements into reusable platform capabilities.
• Design for correctness and auditability in regulated workflows, including data provenance and safeguards.
• Modernize legacy data exchanges toward event-driven integrations with strong observability.
