Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager for the Platform AWS team to lead cloud infrastructure, security, and platform engineering across our global DevOps environment.

You will manage a team of DevOps engineers, own the roadmap for cloud automation and tooling, drive security practices, and partner with product engineering and IT leadership to deliver secure, scalable operations from Westbrook, Maine.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience scaling a DevOps or platform team and maturing operations.
• Strong collaboration with product, security, and IT leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of DevOps engineers, setting priorities, coaching for growth, and ensuring continuous technology operations.
• Own the roadmap for cloud automation, cloud infrastructure, and platform tooling available to the organization.
• Drive infrastructure security practices, including access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance, in partnership with the security and business leaders.
• Advance the DevOps team's maturity of AI in workflow that increases deployment speed, reliability, and developer productivity.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and platform advancements that improve scalability, cost efficiency, and resilience.
• Manage incident response processes and drive root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement plans.
• Partner with engineering and IT leadership to align infrastructure investments with business and product priorities.
• Own vendor and cloud cost management, ensuring efficient and secure use of cloud resources.
