Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Senior Manager for the Platform AWS team to lead cloud infrastructure, security, and platform engineering. You will collaborate with product engineering, security, and IT leadership to advance cloud capabilities, drive CI/CD, and ensure reliable, scalable operations across multiple cloud services.

You will mentor DevOps engineers, own roadmaps for cloud automation and tooling, manage cost and security controls, and guide incident response and postmortems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering and 7+ years in people management.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and Kubernetes.
• Experience embedding security into infrastructure lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong observability experience with Datadog/CloudWatch; proven incident response and postmortems.
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of DevOps engineers; set priorities and coach for growth.
• Own the roadmap for cloud automation, infrastructure, and platform tooling.
• Drive infrastructure security practices and governance in partnership with security.
• Advance DevOps maturity including AI-enabled workflow improvements and faster deployments.
• Evaluate new tools and manage vendor relationships and cloud costs.
• Oversee incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
