hims & hers is seeking a Senior Staff Platform Engineer to set the technical direction of our platform, owning cross-org infrastructure initiatives and guiding architectural decisions. You will stay hands-on in critical code paths while shaping patterns engineers across the company rely on for service mesh, multi-region resilience, and AI-enabled services.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership, influencing without authority, and delivering scalable platform primitives that improve delivery

Responsabilités

Own group-critical platform initiatives: take single-threaded ownership of multi-quarter, cross-org programs such as service mesh adoption and multi-region resilience.
Define architectural patterns and platform primitives that other engineers implement against to ensure consistency.
Lead through hands-on excellence: stay engaged in hard problems like production incidents and migration tooling.
Coordinate rollouts across engineering orgs, anticipate blockers, and resolve them before they stall the program.
DRI for testing infrastructure: validate changes across iteration environments and multi-service changes.
Mentor Staff and Senior engineers: raise the technical bar and guide pattern adoption.
Drive reductions in tech debt and cost through large-scale infra migrations and CI/CD changes.
Define leading indicators to show platform investments deliver measurable impact.
