Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to drive operational efficiency and supervise a multi-shift production team. You will coordinate Production Supervisors to meet daily targets, align on policies, and maximize yields while maintaining safety and quality norms.

Your leadership will guide a diverse workforce through planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes training, mentoring, and creating a resilient, productive plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ relevant experience are required.
• Experience leading by training, coaching or mentoring staff is required.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office to streamline processes and improve productivity is expected.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational efficiency and profitability by monitoring yields, efficiencies, and staffing.
• Champion safety and ergonomics by training employees on safe work practices.
• Ensure quality and compliance with sanitation, product quality, and customer service standards.
• Lead training and continuous improvement initiatives, conducting line meetings and guiding policies and procedures.
• Provide strong leadership on the production floor to keep teams motivated and aligned.
