Job summary

SEEC Brand in Washington, DC is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our on-site power plant operations. The role leads safety, environmental compliance, and daily plant performance, ensuring procedures are followed and goals met.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in power or resource recovery plant operations, hands-on boiler and electrical generation experience, and strong leadership and troubleshooting skills. HS diploma required with engineering exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in power or resource recovery plant operations.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electrical generation is required; engineering training is desirable.
• Knowledge of steam generating power stations and instrument/control systems.
• Ability to originate and monitor plant procedures and technical instructions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• HS Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel at the facility and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain the plant within environmental limits and permits.
• Respond to injuries or accidents and coordinate emergency response.
• Direct completion of shift, daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
• Approve removal of equipment from service, clear tagging, and issuing safety permits.
• Troubleshoot plant operations and coordinate maintenance for optimal performance.
• Train and manage a skilled, flexible, cross-trained workforce.
