Job summary

SEEC Brand in Westminster, MD seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations at our power/resource recovery plant. You will oversee safety, enforce policies, and coordinate 12-hour shift cycles to keep production compliant and efficient.

The role requires at least 5 years of plant operations experience, hands-on boiler and electrical generation knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to train a cross-trained team while applying sound troubleshooting and procedural discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in power or resource recovery plant operations.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electrical generation.
• Knowledge of steam generation and instrument and control systems.
• Ability to originate and monitor plant procedures and technical instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel at the facility. Will ensure that all personnel adhere to all applicable policies and procedures, and work safely and efficiently.
• Maintain the plant within all environmental limits and permits.
• Emergency response to injuries or accidents.
• Direct the completion of shift, daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
• Responsible for approving all requests for removing equipment from service for maintenance and other purposes, ensuring equipment is properly cleared and tagged, and issuing safety permits, by plant procedures.
• Troubleshoot plant operational issues and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Train and manage a workforce that is motivated, flexible in skills, cross-trained, and technically capable to ensure an effective and motivated team.
