Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the maintenance team in our Moorhead, MN facility. You will optimize plant operations, maximize production capacity, and drive cost efficiency while overseeing budgets and capital projects.

You will develop talent within the maintenance department, ensure safety and reliability of facilities and equipment, and collaborate to implement strategic technical initiatives supporting plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of engineering experience with project and process management; at least 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Engineering, Maintenance and Quality with the objective of maximizing production while achieving cost targets.
• Manage plant capital and operating budgets and mentor technical talent within maintenance.
• Ensure facilities and production equipment are maintained to the highest standards for safety, efficiency, and reliability; manage the Capital Budget and Engineering expense budget.
• Collaborate with plant technical and operations resources to identify capital deployment opportunities.
• Responsible for CAR submission and coordination of capital activities.
• Direct the performance management and development of maintenance team members, including disciplinary actions as needed.
