Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking a Planning & Development Manager to join our team remotely within Florida. The role leads advanced planning projects across mixed-use, residential, commercial, and institutional sectors while coordinating cross-office teams and client pre-development work.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in planning or related field, holds or pursues AICP/ALA certification, and demonstrates strong leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field; Master’s or advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of planning experience in land development/public policy.
• AICP or ALA certification and licensed professional preferred; proficiency with design tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Internet apps, econometrics, and database management.
• GIS experience and familiarity with planning and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex planning projects across mixed-use, residential, commercial, and institutional sectors.
• Support strategic planning and client development, and coordinate multi-team efforts.
• Represent Bowman at councils, boards, and meetings; engage with offices to expand national influence.
• Oversee project-related proposals, budgeting, and expenditure monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local regulations.
