Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Planning & Development Manager to lead complex mixed-use and development projects, with remote work within Florida.

You will supervise planning activities, coordinate with clients and officials, and help Bowman expand its national presence through strategic development initiatives.

The role emphasizes leadership, client service, data analysis, and regulatory compliance to positively influence land-use outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years planning or related experience in land development/public policy.
• Certification in AICP or ALA preferred; licensed professional or equivalent.
• Proficiency with planning/engineering tools and graphic design apps (Adobe, SketchUp, ArcGIS).
• Knowledge of supervision, budgeting, and local government policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage complex planning projects for public and private clients.
• Coordinate pre-development, legislative, and land development tasks.
• Represent Bowman on councils and boards and engage with regional offices.
• Assist with project planning, budgeting, and client proposals.
• Attend evening and weekend meetings.
