Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Plan Document Compliance Senior Lead to ensure the best interests of institutional clients and internal business partners. You will review defined contribution plan documents, resolve complex compliance issues, and influence strategy with internal partners and clients while maintaining qualified plan status.

As a recognized expert in retirement plan documents, you will analyze new laws, communicate implications, and deliver consultative services to our largest clients.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with Pension/ERISA experience
• Experience reviewing and creating plan documents for 403(b), 401(a)/(k), and other retirement plans
• Ability to analyze and interpret new laws/regulations impacting plan documents and compliance
• Strong communication and collaboration with clients and internal partners

Responsibilities

• Evaluates defined contribution plan documents for compliance and client concerns
• Provides design and administrative recommendations for plan documents
• Resolves complex regulatory issues arising from client questions and document reviews
• Analyzes impact of new regulations on plan needs and informs strategy
• Maintains regulatory knowledge and educates team and clients on developments
• Leads as a subject matter expert on defined contribution plan document compliance
