Job summary

TIAA seeks a Plan Document Compliance Senior Lead to ensure defined contribution plans meet regulatory requirements and align with client objectives. You will review plan documents, advise on design and administrative changes, and guide internal partners toward best practices while preserving plan qualification.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with Pension/ERISA experience.
• Experience reviewing, consulting on, and creating plan documents (403(b), 401(a)/(k), etc.).
• Experience updating templated plan documents to regulatory changes.
• Understanding of plan administration, design, provisions, and product offerings.
• JD and professional designations are preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently with internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates defined contribution plan documents for compliance issues.
• Suggests new plan setup and design enhancements to meet objectives.
• Provides analysis of provisions for mergers and acquisitions.
• Resolves complex regulatory issues from client questions and reviews.
• Analyzes regulatory changes and develops strategy to align client needs.
• Educates team members and partners on legislative developments.
• Serves as lead subject matter expert on plan document compliance.
