Job summary

TIAA seeks a Plan Document Compliance Senior Lead to ensure defined contribution plans meet regulatory and plan document requirements for institutional clients. You will independently analyze laws, review plan documents, and advise internal partners and clients on compliant, optimal strategies.

Leading as a subject matter expert, you will influence best practices, support complex client engagements, and maintain up-to-date regulatory knowledge across plan types including 403(b) and 401(a)/(k).

Qualifications

• Requires licensed attorney with Pension/ERISA experience.
• Experience reviewing and creating plan documents for multiple 403(b), 401(a)/(k), etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across partners.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate defined contribution plan documents for compliance and client concerns.
• Suggest new plan design or admin enhancements to meet objectives.
• Provide analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and protected benefits.
• Research and resolve highly complex regulatory issues with internal teams and clients.
• Communicate findings and recommended actions to clients and attorneys.
