Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to lead evaluations of piping systems in accordance with ASME B31.1, B31.7, and related codes. You will perform complex calculations, review designs, and prepare input for drawings and equipment specs.

The role requires a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, ANSYS Workbench, and related tools.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of piping engineering experience.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Experience with pipe supports, piping products, and design reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review complex calculations and designs.
• Review system/structural designs and prepare detailed input for drawings.
• Prepare equipment and material specifications and bid evaluations.
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and work plans; monitor progress.
• Present technical information clearly to clients and teams.
