Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Piping Engineer to perform analyses, basic calculations, and component designs under ASME codes. You will contribute to project teams with clear technical communication and support engineering design tasks.

This role requires a BS/MS in mechanical engineering, 1+ year of experience, and familiarity with AutoPIPE or PIPESTESS. The position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work three days per week.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program with emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, elasticity, metallurgy and FEA.
• 1+ year of engineering experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepares simple calculations.
• Independently prepares simple system/structural designs.
• Gathers data for specifications and prepares simple specifications under supervision.
• Gathers data and prepares simple bid tabulations.
• Communicates technical information and results clearly to project teams.
• Gains familiarity with accepted standards and processes for assigned tasks.
• Completes assignments within allocated time frames.
• Develops personal capabilities to grow on assigned projects.
