Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to perform evaluations and designs for piping systems in compliance with ASME B31.1 and related codes. The role combines analytical work with client-facing collaboration in a hybrid office setting at Peachtree Corners, GA, three days on-site.

You will prepare complex calculations, review equipment specifications, and contribute to budgets and schedules while mentoring staff and ensuring deliverables meet project needs in a fast-paced energy

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of relevant piping engineering experience.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME BPV Section III piping codes.
• Familiarity with pipe supports design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews complex piping calculations and designs.
• Reviews simple system/structural designs and prepares complex system designs.
• Prepares design input for drawing production (P&IDs and Master Diagrams).
• Prepares equipment and material specifications.
• Prepares bid evaluations and data for economic evaluations.
