Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a senior Lead Designer to oversee mechanical and piping deliverables on large projects. The role requires extensive experience in design, drafting standards, and on-site coordination, with responsibility for guiding a team to meet scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of industrial experience, an associate degree in engineering technology or CAD, and SPED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 20+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
• SPED Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design team to deliver mechanical and piping work on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting staff and mentor subordinates.
• Coordinate work with other staff and discipline leads.
• Produce installation specifications with engineering review and approval.
• Estimate construction quantities and costs for projects.
• Lead training and professional development of staff.
