Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Lead Designer with extensive mechanical/piping experience to supervise a design team and deliver critical deliverables. The role includes on-site startup support, cost estimation, and coordination across disciplines.

Strong CAD skills and knowledge of piping systems are essential. The candidate should have 25+ years in industrial piping design, an associate degree or CAD background, and SPED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
• SPED Certification is preferred.
• 25+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials, supports, and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction to a team of designers.
• Deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup.
• Mentor subordinates and coordinate with staff across disciplines.
• Produce installation specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Lead a design staff to meet scope, schedule and budget objectives.
• Coordinate planning of training and professional development.
