Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an experienced Lead Mechanical/Piping Designer to supervise a design team and deliver complete piping and mechanical deliverables on schedule and within budget.

The role requires extensive experience, the ability to lead a staff, and strong familiarity with 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation. On-site collaboration and mentoring are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of industrial mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• SPED certification preferred.
• Ability to lead a small team and deliver on commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead designer responsible for delivery of mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and mentor staff.
• Coordinate work with discipline leads and other staff.
• Produce installation specifications with review and approval.
• Estimate construction quantities and prepare cost estimates.
• Support startup on-site and training programs.
