Job summary

Sargent Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to lead technical direction and supervision for project teams in Chicago. The ideal candidate will possess a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, extensive experience in piping evaluations, and knowledge of ASME codes. Responsibilities include reviewing complex calculations, designs, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• 10 or more years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of design, selection, and application of pipe supporting elements.
• Experience with hydraulic transients and gas dynamics is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and supervision to project members.
• Review and approve complex calculations and designs.
• Participate in design reviews for quality and constructability.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of pipe supporting elements

Education

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
