Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a high-energy Piping Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will work on state-of-the-art industrial facilities, coordinating piping design with a cross-functional team and clients locally, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires 8+ years in piping design, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and willingness to travel; hybrid work policy applies across Jacobs locations in the U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years’ piping design experience for industrial & commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform field/site visits which may include climbing ladders.
• Travel willingness (approx. 10% travel).
• Adaptability to a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead within piping discipline and collaborate with other disciplines remotely.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical/piping engineering under supervision of a senior project manager.
• Coordinate design and drafting of piping tasks for a project.
• Monitor progress and performance of the design team.
• Meet with clients locally.
