Jacobs is seeking a high-energy Piping Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will design piping systems for state-of-the-art industrial facilities, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across local and remote offices.

This hybrid role welcomes travel up to 10% and may involve client meetings; you will work under a senior project manager, performing calculations, creating P&IDs, and ensuring QA on drawings while contributing to project schedules and

Competenze

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience in piping design for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal skill set.
• Ability to perform field/site visits which may include the need to climb ladders.
• Ability to travel (estimated travel time is 10%).
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to follow lead a building mechanical team on a project and to collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.

Mansioni

• Knowledge of procedures and technical concepts within the piping discipline and the ability to navigate and apply relevant codes to piping design projects.
• Perform piping systems concept development.
• Generate piping design calculations including equipment sizing and pipe sizing calculations.
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams.
• Perform equipment selections.
• Generate specifications for systems and equipment.
• Coordinate and collaborate with project team members, contractors, clients and other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical and process to develop designs.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis.
• Checking drawings developed by project team members.
• Lead a design team within the piping discipline and manage scope, schedule and budget.
• Support work for/in other offices and other countries which may include travel.
• Organize work and delegate tasks.
• Work both independently and as part of a design team with remote members.
• Quality check drawings and perform QA reviews.
• Formulate design criteria for project specifications and drawings.
• Mentor junior staff.
