Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer for our Building Mechanical team. You will work on state-of-the-art industrial facilities, leading piping discipline tasks, coordinating with multiple teams, and supporting design across locations and projects.

Qualified candidates bring a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of piping design experience, and strong communication skills. Travel and field visits are part of the role, with a hybrid work policy and opportunities for growth in a global firm.

Competenze

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years’ experience in piping design for industrial and commercial facilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform field/site visits which may include climbing ladders
• Ability to travel (estimated travel time 10%)
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely with other disciplines
• Professional Engineering License is preferred

Mansioni

• Knowledge of piping procedures and applicable codes for piping design projects
• Perform piping systems concept development
• Generate piping design calculations including equipment sizing and pipe sizing
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams
• Perform equipment selections and prepare system/equipment specifications
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, clients and other disciplines to develop designs
• Lead a design team within the piping discipline and manage scope, schedule and budget
• Support work for/in other offices and travel as needed
• Mentor junior staff and perform quality reviews of drawings
