Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer for our Building Mechanical team to design state-of-the-art industrial facilities. You will work under a senior PM, coordinate piping discipline tasks, and ensure project milestones are met while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement across Jacobs locations in the US, with travel up to 10% and opportunities to mentor junior staff and engage in QA reviews of drawings.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; PE license preferred.
• 8+ years piping design experience for industrial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to lead piping discipline teams and coordinate with multi-discipline groups.

Responsibilities

• Apply piping design knowledge to projects within the building mechanical domain.
• Coordinate design and drafting tasks for piping discipline.
• Perform piping design calculations and equipment sizing.
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams; specify systems and equipment.
• Lead a design team within the piping discipline; monitor scope, schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with project team members, clients and other disciplines; support QA.
