Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team in a hybrid role from any Jacobs location. You will design piping systems for advanced manufacturing facilities, coordinate with engineers and clients, and lead a design team on complex projects.

Travel to field sites may be required as projects progress. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of piping design experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 8+ years’ experience in piping design for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to ~10% and visit field sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping discipline design within a project team.
• Coordinate with project team members, contractors, and clients.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis and design calculations.
• Prepare P&IDs, equipment sizing, and piping specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure QA of drawings.
