Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer to join the Building Mechanical team in a hybrid role based out of Pittsburgh, PA. You will design piping systems for state-of-the-art industrial facilities, lead a design team, and collaborate with architectural, structural, electrical and process disciplines to deliver reliable, safe solutions.

The role requires strong engineering expertise, field/site visits, and travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of piping design experience for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Ability to perform field/site visits and travel (estimated 10%).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and team collaboration.
• Experience leading a building mechanical design team and coordinating with multi-discipline groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping discipline design tasks and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with project team, contractors and other disciplines to develop designs.
• Perform piping design calculations, equipment sizing and pipe sizing.
• Create P&IDs, Block Flow Diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis and QA reviews of drawings.
