Jacobs in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Piping Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team. You’ll design piping systems for state-of-the-art industrial facilities, lead tasks under a senior PM, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and mentor junior staff.

This hybrid role requires travel and collaboration across offices and sites to deliver value to clients. The position emphasizes hands-on design, QA reviews of drawings, and the ability to manage scope, budget and schedule while supporting work

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of piping design experience for industrial & commercial facilities.
• Strong communication and ability to travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform piping systems concept development and pipe sizing calculations.
• Create P&ID’s and equipment specifications.
• Coordinate with project team members across disciplines to develop designs.
• Lead a design team within piping discipline and manage scope/budget.
• Mentor junior staff and perform QA reviews of drawings.
