Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer for our Building Mechanical team in a hybrid role from any Jacobs location. You will design state-of-the-art industrial facilities, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and travel as needed to support projects and clients.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, collaborating across offices and countries, and delivering cost-effective, transformative piping solutions for manufacturing and related sectors.

Competenze

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years’ experience in piping design for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal skill set
• Ability to perform field/site visits which may include the need to climb ladders.
• Ability to travel (estimated travel time is 10%)
• Professional Engineering License.
• Software experience in Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Pipe-FLO

Mansioni

• Knowledge of piping procedures and codes for design projects.
• Perform piping systems concept development.
• Generate piping design calculations including equipment sizing and pipe sizing calculations.
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams
• Perform equipment selections.
• Generate specifications for systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with project team members, contractors, clients and other disciplines.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis.
• Check drawings from the project team.
• Lead a design team within the piping discipline.
• Support work for/in other offices and countries which may include travel.
• Organize work and delegate tasks.
• Work both independently and in a team.
• Mentor junior staff.
