Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is a leading wholesale electricity generator seeking an experienced project leader to manage onshore natural gas pipeline and facilities projects. You will drive scope, schedule, cost, safety, and regulatory compliance while coordinating across engineering, land, procurement and construction teams.

The role demands 8+ years of multi-discipline experience, supervisory capabilities, and a PMP/PE or equivalent credential.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience.
• Experience: 8+ years.
• Supervisory/Management experience: 4+ years.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple natural gas infrastructure projects involving transmission pipelines, compressor stations, and measurement and regulation facilities through the full project lifecycle.
• Develop and approve project scopes, execution plans, cost estimates, schedules, staffing plans, contracting strategies, and risk registers.
• Direct engineering, construction, operations, and commissioning interfaces to maintain alignment on scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and regulatory commitments.
• Oversee procurement, land, and environmental permitting functions with necessary data guidance.
• Oversee preparation of alignment sheets, design packages, construction specifications, bid documents, contractor solicitations, evaluations, contract negotiations, and award recommendations.
• Manage project controls, including Gantt schedules, manpower curves, production forecasts, cash-flow projections, progress measurement, variance analysis, and executive-level status reporting.
• Ensure project work complies with 49 CFR Part 192, company standards, permit conditions, environmental requirements, and accepted pipeline construction practices.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams; establish priorities, resolve escalated issues, coach staff, and hold internal and external contributors accountable for results.
