Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Pipeline Engineer to join our growing civil and pipeline team in the United States. The role will work across the world on projects in mining, oil & gas, and water sectors, delivering pipeline solutions from FEED through decommissioning.

You will lead multi-disciplinary design efforts, perform routing studies, provide stress and detailed piping analysis, and support client-facing activities with strong safety and quality emphasis. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT registration required; PE preferred.
• 7–10 years pipeline design experience (consulting or operating company).
• Knowledge of liquids/gas design codes and regulations (49 CFR, ASME, AWWA).
• Experience with pipeline engineering software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across the pipeline lifecycle from planning to decommissioning.
• Support routing studies, stress analysis, and mechanical design.
• Coordinate field investigations and ROW support activities.
• Prepare cost estimates, proposals, and client communications.
• Ensure delivery aligns with company procedures and quality plans.
• Interact with clients and manage progress reporting and meetings.
