Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Pipeline Engineer to work from our Houston, TX office or other U.S. locations including Tampa, FL; Kansas City, MO; Detroit, MI; East Chicago, IN. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver pipeline solutions for mining, oil & gas, and water sectors.

This role requires 7–10 years of pipeline design experience, EIT with PE preferred, and strong knowledge of pipeline codes. Travel up to 25% is expected as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
• 7–10 years of pipeline design experience.
• EIT required with PE preferred.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192/195, ASME B31.4/31.8, AWWA M11.
• Familiar with Pipeline Toolbox, AutoPIPE/CAESAR II, PipeFLO, and AFT Impulse.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform work in the field and office, operating vehicles for the company.
• Design pipeline systems across lifecycle: planning, FEED, route selection, permit, detail design, procurement, construction.
• Provide engineering support for routing studies, stress analysis, and mechanical design of liquid, gas, and slurry pipelines.
• Coordinate field investigations and surveys to support pipeline design.
• Prepare and review proposals, technical reports, calculations, and client communications.
