Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Consulting Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced physical security systems for clients in New Jersey. You will plan architectures, configure video surveillance, access control, sensors, and integrate third-party technologies.

You will collaborate with account managers, project teams, and customers to ensure successful delivery, advise on new technologies, and drive cross-selling opportunities. Travel of 25–50% and strong client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation, and support OR 9+ years of experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation, and support.
• Hands-on Genetec or Verkada Systems Engineering experience.
• Ability to travel between 25%-50%.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience in infrastructure/network environments, with some experience in network engineering and security practices.
• 2 years consulting experience is a plus.
• Experience in Milestone Systems Engineering is a plus.
• Meraki MV Experience is a plus.
• Verkada Experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform client consultation: plan, design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems.
• Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing Physical Security Systems and recommend solutions.
• Set up, configure, and test Physical Security Systems including video surveillance, access control, sensors, air quality control, and third-party integrations.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems.
• Assist Account Managers during the sales process by educating customers about new technologies in the Physical Security space and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Manage projects using CDW's project management methodology and life-cycle processes.
• Ensure a stable performance environment for enterprise applications.
• Interact with customers' technical and business staff, project sponsors, and stakeholders on complex engagements.
• Serve as a technical point of contact on customer engagements.
• Create and execute test plans to meet project requirements for assigned components.
• Manage time and expenses to meet or exceed SOW expectations.
• Provide high-quality content deliverables using templates.
