Job summary

CDW is seeking Consulting Engineers who will design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems, including video surveillance and access control. You will analyze and improve network architectures, align solutions with customer needs, and participate in project management using CDW methodologies.

The role requires consulting experience, security domain knowledge, and the ability to travel as needed. You will collaborate with Account Managers and technical staff to deliver high‑quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related technical field with 3 years delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation, and support, or 7 years IT experience with 3 years delivering complex solutions.
• Minimum of 2 years of consulting experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in infrastructure/network environments with experience in network engineering, security practices, and LAN/WAN design.
• Experience in Genetec or Milestone systems engineering.
• One year of programming or analytical work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems.
• Develop architecture and physical design of networks and assess existing systems.
• Configure and test Physical Security Systems including video surveillance, access control, sensors, and third-party integrations.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware/software problems and provide solutions.
• Educate customers about new technologies and opportunities for cross-selling.
• Lead design workshops and manage project lifecycle per CDW methodologies.
