Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Physical Design Engineer to drive complex digital and mixed-signal IC implementations from floorplanning through tapeout.

You will work across the physical design flow, resolving timing, power, and area challenges while coordinating with RTL, DFT, STA, library, and package teams. The role demands deep technical expertise in physical design, strong problem-solving, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience in ASIC/SoC physical design from floorplanning to tapeout.
• Proficiency with timing constraints, power optimization, and physical verification.
• Ability to collaborate with RTL, STA, DFT, and package teams.

Responsibilities

• Own physical design implementation for complex digital blocks and subsystems.
• Drive timing closure, congestion analysis, power optimization, and area improvement.
• Perform physical verification including DRC/LVS/ERC and reliability checks.
• Develop and refine physical design constraints and flows for efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers on physical design practices and tooling.
• Support tapeout planning and execution to meet milestones.
• Document design implementations, constraints, and signoff status.
• Collaborate with RTL, DFT, STA, library, and package teams.
• Participate in design reviews and communicate trade-offs clearly.
