Job summary

Arrow Electronics seeks a Senior Physical Design Engineer for eInfochips Inc in a fully on-site role in San Jose, CA. You will lead physical design activities for SoC blocks, collaborating with architects, RTL, and DFT to meet tight schedules and power/area goals.

Candidates should have 10+ years in physical design, expertise with Synthesis, PnR, STA, EM/IR, and PDN, and strong TCL scripting for EDA flows using Innovus, Tempus, and Quantus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE/CS or related field.
• 10+ years in physical design with synthesis, PnR, timing convergence, and verification.
• Proficient with Innovus, Tempus, Quantus; strong PD flow knowledge.
• SoC design experience and sub-7nm familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Execute synthesis, PNR, and STA for ASIC partitions.
• Collaborate with architects, RTL, and DFT to resolve issues.
• Close EM/IR, drive LEC and PDN signoffs for partitions.
• Identify PD challenges with design team to enable convergence.
• Refine PD methodologies (Synthesis, PnR, EM/IR, PDN, LEC).
• Troubleshoot flow issues and coordinate with EDA vendors.
