The role requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to work day/evening hours including weekends. Prior healthcare experience is preferred, with formal training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-specific certification or licensing as required.
• Minimum three months' medical/healthcare experience preferred.
• Completed training documentation before performing duties independently.
• Ability to speak/read/write English.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated reliability and good attendance.
• Ability to work day/evening hours, weekends, holidays, extended shifts.
• Ability to perform venipunctures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (FDA, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain high production standards and facility compliance.
• Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area for a professional environment.
• Reviews and confirms donor identification and maintains donor confidentiality.
• Sets up and prepares equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
• Labels and ensures units and samples are labeled accurately.
• Executes venipunctures and plasma collection with high quality and safety.
• Operates automated plasmapheresis machines and responds to machine alarms and donor events.
• Monitors donor conditions to ensure safety and plasma quality.
• Maintains proper donor safety ratios and product quality.
• Disposes biohazardous waste and cleans spills per safety protocols.
• Performs calibration/maintenance of plasmapheresis machines.
• Reports unsafe situations to management.
• Maintains/stocks inventory and replenishes plasma carts.
• Mentors Phlebotomist I and may train others as needed.
• Troubleshoots machine alarms and performs QC routines.
• Partner with QA on Donor Floor performance and CAPA initiatives.
• Assists with storage room organization (FIFO) and other tasks.
