Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a next-generation satellite system and seeks a Payload Verification Architect in San Diego. You will drive verification strategy for both D2D cellular-band and Ka-band broadband payloads, defining what to test, how to test, and pass/fail criteria, while coordinating with cross-functional teams across hardware, systems, and calibration.

You will work hands-on in the lab, evaluating test technologies, and supporting aerospace qualification campaigns and production test

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of verification in RF/test for SATCOM or related systems.
• Experience with RF tests: ACLR, EVM, blockers, spurious emissions, intermodulation.

Responsibilities

• Define verification strategy for D2D and broadband satellite programs.
• Own verification plan from requirements to test across subsystems.
• Develop test plans for RF and OTA performance verification.
• Contribute to aerospace qualification campaigns (thermal vacuum, vibration, radiation).
• Support production test infrastructure with pass/fail criteria and yield analysis.
• Enable on-orbit verification including launch health checks and telemetry monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align verification across hardware and systems.
