SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PreOp PACU phase to support perioperative care. The role involves assessing patients pre- and post-operatively, interpreting monitors, and developing individualized care plans aligned with facility policies.

The ideal candidate will have nursing licensure, 1 year of PreOp/PACU experience, and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS if applicable. This on-site role emphasizes patient safety, education, and teamwork.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies; monitor cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological systems and pain status.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of disease processes and anesthesia techniques.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia (general, monitored anesthesia care, regional, local).
• Protect patient from infection, maintain wound integrity and tissue perfusion, and manage fluids and electrolytes.
• Provide education to patient and support person about perioperative care and psychosocial responses.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates and ensure patient rights and privacy.
