Job summary

SCA Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across our network of ambulatory surgical centers. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, implement perianesthesia plans, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe recovery and smooth transitions.

Ideal candidates hold an Accredited School of Nursing credential, have at least one year of PreOp or PACU experience, and current BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Deliver patient care including anesthesia-related recovery and monitoring.
• Provide hand-off reports and education to patients and families.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control throughout perioperative care.
