Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is seeking a registered nurse with perioperative experience to support preoperative and postoperative care across a busy PACU. You will monitor patients, implement perianesthesia plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and comfort through the recovery process.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing degree, RN license, and certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS) with strong assessment skills and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications as required or within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy (cardiovascular, respiratory, neuro, hemodynamics, pain, mental status).
• Interpret information from monitors accurately.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan across perioperative care, including recovery and transfer of patients.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates with accurate, concise information.
• Delegate tasks per state regulations and job descriptions.
• Document care completely and maintain patient rights, dignity, and privacy.
