Job summary

Block is building a modern People Platform and AI-enabled automation to power the employee lifecycle. The role partners with Talent Acquisition to solve technology needs and expands across the People portfolio with trusted data and scalable integrations.

You will design governance, data access, and shared capabilities to accelerate future development while ensuring security and compliance across Workday, Greenhouse, and related systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's; or a PhD without experience.
• Experience managing enterprise People platforms such as Workday, Greenhouse, or similar, including integrations via APIs, middleware, ETL tools, or integration platforms.
• Support Recruiting or Talent Acquisition through technology, with knowledge of hiring workflows and source tools.
• Experimented with AI tools to automate work and build solutions; able to discuss learnings and applications.
• Led technology initiatives end-to-end from discovery to adoption, simplifying complex business processes.
• Translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and influence decisions across People, Security, Data, and Engineering.
• Preferred: Built AI-powered workflows or agents; prototypes count; written code in Python/SQL/JavaScript with CI/CD.
• Preferred: Understanding of compliance and security standards for People data (SOX, GDPR, data classification, access controls).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Talent Acquisition and other People teams to understand challenges and identify tech-enabled opportunities.
• Advise teams on scalable, secure AI-enabled solutions grounded in trusted People data.
• Balance near-term delivery with longer-term platform investments to reduce duplication and speed future development.
• Build shared integrations, data services, and platform automations that accelerate AI-powered solutions.
• Evolve People Technology toward consistent, shared platform capabilities and patterns.
