Job summary

Cityblock seeks a Senior Manager, People Technology & Operations to own and evolve its People tech ecosystem with Workday at the core. This hands-on leader will drive automation, AI-enabled solutions, and secure, scalable systems across the employee lifecycle.

Reporting to People leadership, you will manage Workday configuration, data governance, and third-party integrations while shaping a roadmap in partnership with stakeholders across IT, Security, and Finance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with Workday including hands-on configuration, module expansion, and third‑party integrations.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing HRIS, People Operations, or HR Shared Services teams.
• Workday certification(s) strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with AI/automation tools applied to HR technology or People Operations; willingness to pilot new solutions.
• Strong understanding of HR business processes, data management, and privacy/compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the People technology roadmap with senior Leaders; translate priorities into actionable plans.
• Manage Workday administration, configuration, security groups, and release management.
• Evaluate and implement new People technology modules and integrations; ensure alignment with architecture.
• Oversee data integrity and flow across Workday and related HR systems (recruiting, payroll, benefits, performance).
• Lead People Operations; set processes, procedures, and SLAs; drive automation to reduce manual workflows.
• Champion self-service tools and AI initiatives to improve employee experience and efficiency.
• Identify AI opportunities, pilot tools responsibly, and address risk/compliance.
• Establish data governance and security controls; maintain data privacy across systems.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Finance, Payroll, and stakeholders to meet business needs.
