Job summary

Trilogy, Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Peer Crisis Support Specialist to provide direct, recovery-oriented peer services within Trilogy’s Living Room program.

Drawing on personal lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery, you will foster hope and support guests through crisis using peer relationships. In addition to direct support, you will mentor Peer Crisis Support Specialists, help run recovery groups, and ensure trauma-informed, recovery-focused service

Qualifications

• Active CRSS certification required upon hire.
• Lived experience with mental health recovery and/or substance use recovery to guide peer support.
• High school diploma or GED; degree in human services preferred.
• Minimum two years in peer support, crisis services, or recovery support.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct peer support to guests in distress using recovery-oriented engagement.
• Lead recovery groups and peer-led activities within the Living Room.
• Mentor Peer Crisis Support Specialists and model best practices.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new peer staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Coordinate transportation and logistic supports to reduce access barriers.
• Collaborate with internal teams, crisis providers, and community partners.
