Job summary

TRILOGY BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE seeks a Senior Peer Crisis Support Specialist to provide direct, recovery-focused peer support within Trilogy’s Living Room program in Chicago, IL. You will draw on personal recovery experience to foster hope, support guests in crisis, and promote trauma-informed, strength-based care.

You will also mentor Peer Crisis Support Specialists, strengthen peer practice, and ensure fidelity to the Living Room model through engaging, recovery-oriented activities and strong

Qualifications

• Active CRSS certification required upon hire.
• Lived experience with mental health recovery and/or substance use recovery, with demonstrated ability to utilize lived experience professionally in a peer support setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred in human services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct peer support to guests experiencing emotional distress, mental health challenges, or substance use concerns through recovery-oriented and person-centered engagement.
• Utilize lived experience to foster trust, inspire hope, reduce stigma, and support guests in their recovery journeys.
• Develop wellness plans, safety plans, recovery plans, and other individualized supports for guests.
• Lead recovery groups, wellness activities, and peer-led programming within the Living Room.
• Mentor and resource to Peer Crisis Support Specialists, modeling effective peer support practices.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with EHR systems and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, crisis providers, and community partners to support guest outcomes.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and program development activities.
