Job summary

Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare in Chicago, IL is seeking a Peer Crisis Support Specialist for the Living Room program. You will provide peer-led, trauma-informed support to guests in crisis diversion, using your lived experience to foster hope, connection, and recovery.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, collaboration with the Living Room team, and helping guests access community resources while building wellness plans and ensuring safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Active CRSS certification required upon hire.
• Lived experience with mental health recovery and/or substance use recovery.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented care and trauma-informed practices.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests with a recovery-oriented approach.
• Provide peer support using lived experience to instill hope.
• Assist with guest intake, assessment, orientation, and daily Living Room operations.
• Build supportive relationships through active listening and engagement.
• Help guests identify strengths, goals, and coping strategies.
• Develop wellness, recovery, safety, and support plans with guests.
