Job summary

Trilogy, Inc. in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to engage clients in drop-in center activities and provide skill-building services for recovery and community integration. You will educate staff on the recovery model and document services using our system.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, client-centered, strengths-based care for individuals with mental health and co-occurring disorders, with a harm-reduction approach. Shift requirements vary by center needs.

Qualifications

• Must self-identify as a past or present consumer of mental health and/or substance abuse services and willing to share their personal story of recovery with our clients.
• High School Diploma or GED is required; CRSS certification is preferred or obtainable within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide training to new employees about proper procedure in the Beacon.
• Assist Team Leader with Beacon operations, including inventory and supplies management.
• Ensure routine safety drills are completed per policy and COVID-19 guidelines.
• Coordinate with School Field Supervisors for student/Intern placement.
• Facilitate milieu-based interventions to improve client functioning in social contexts.
• Consult with other departments to coordinate care for clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
