Job summary

Thomson Reuters Practical Law is seeking a Senior Specialist Legal Editor, Corp & M&A (Private Equity) in the United States. You will create and maintain practical Private Equity content, review others’ work, and support AI-driven legal solutions in a collaborative team environment.

The role demands a JD with a US license and a track record of leading complex M&A work, with strong writing skills and a proactive approach to market developments and governance issues.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor with license to practice in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 8+ years sponsor-side Private Equity experience in law firms or in-house.
• Strong writing and editing skills for practical legal content.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Experience using AI tools in legal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Research, write and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
• Review and edit content written by others, including external contributors.
• Stay updated on legal developments to keep content accurate and relevant.
• Support development of Thomson Reuters AI-powered legal solutions.
• Assist in the creation and application of internal AI editorial tools.
• Build relationships with lawyers and industry groups to reflect market practice.
• Collaborate with product, sales, marketing, and technology teams as needed.
